WELCOME TO AFRICAN CORRECTIONAL SERVICES ASSOCIATION (ACSA)
I have the singular honor to welcome you to the official website of ACSA. I am the Director-General of the Administration of Penitentiary of Senegal, COLONEL JEAN BETRAND BOCANDE   and the current Chairperson of ACSA.

ACSA was officially launched on the 26th September 2008 in Livingstone, Zambia. It is an organization that brings together Heads of Correctional and Prisons Services in the African Continent and strives to attain a paradigm shift in African Corrections and Prisons from punitive to correctional human rights based systems which are guided by democratic values and the rule of law, which is clearly stated in the Mission and Vision Statement of the organisation.

The drive of ACSA is further enhanced and shaped by its Core-Values which are Respect, Integrity, Commitment, Inclusiveness and Accountability.
